Cavernum
Pair numbers. Clear the cave. Dig deeper.
Cavernum is a free number matching puzzle game for iPhone, iPad and Android. Match tiles that are equal or add up to ten and connect them by a clear path, clear rows as you go, and work your way through increasingly difficult cave puzzles.

Simple rule. Hard puzzle.
Tap two tiles that are equal in value or add up to ten. The two numbers must also be connected by a clear path. Clear enough of the board and rows compress, revealing new pairings underneath.
Built to get harder.
Cavernum is built for players who find many casual number match games too easy to stay interesting. New blockers and irregular board shapes are introduced gradually, then combined so later levels demand planning as well as number recognition.
Equal or sum to ten
Match identical values or two numbers whose values total ten.
Find a clear path
Knowing the pair is only half the puzzle. The route between the tiles has to work too.
Outsmart blockers
Voids, rocks, gates and changing board shapes force you to rethink obvious matches.
Use utilities when stuck
Hint, Undo, Swap and Add Numbers give you options when a board tightens up.
Inside the Cavernum
A hand-painted cave world wrapped around a number-pairing puzzle that gets more demanding the deeper you go.

A number game with route-finding.
Cavernum combines number-pair recognition with spatial reasoning. A pair can be mathematically valid and still be unusable because the path is blocked. That makes each board a route-finding problem as well as a matching puzzle.
Every one of the 60 launch levels was solved by hand before release. That verifies that each shipped level has a solution without implying that every path a player chooses will succeed.
